Supersaver of the week: Mr Christopher Werimo & Mr Julius Kotolo from Kitisuru Boda and Mr Felix Nzoya and Mr Joseph Kaikai from Redhill SACCO
We are pleased to see significant participation from SACCO members utilizing CAMS for saving and efficiently managing their financials. This week has been exciting for us here at Wakandi. We welcomed Mr Christopher Werimo and Mr Julius Kotolo from Kitisuru Boda and Mr Felix Nzoya and Mr Joseph Kaikai from Redhill SACCO as supersavers of the week.
We selected them for their remarkable efforts in digitizing their contributions through CAMS. They have managed to save the most for their SACCOs this week. Our team in Kenya awarded them with Wakandi T-shirts yesterday.
To further encourage their effort, we also awarded other team members with tanks full of fuel for their bikes, so they are ready to roll and boost their earnings. All the members were quite happy to be appreciated for their saving efforts.
During this quick ceremony, we also talked about their experience with the CAMS app. One of the members of the Redhill SACCO said, “CAMS is efficient and saves time when it comes to saving. Unlike previously when we had to do our savings manually.”
CAMS as a digital system helps boda boda riders save their money on the go through their mobile phones – be it using the member app or USSD. They don’t need to meet daily to collect their earning and maintain the records manually. Saving digitally not only speeds up the process but also reduces the chances of manual errors while recording transactions. Moreover, they get extra time on their hands to complete more rides which increases their earnings every day.

We congratulate all the winners of the Supersaver of the Week award. We believe this will continue to encourage more boda boda riders to save more and move on the path of digitization.
