At Wakandi, we are inspired by how technology and innovation can positively impact millions of people. Imagine a world where people can send money to their loved ones, manage their finances, and do everything at a click of a button.
This inspiration enabled us to build CAMS, a solution to help millions of people connected with informal savings groups (IFGs) send contributions and apply for loans online. Thousands of IFGs can onboard CAMS to digitize their manual operations and bring speed and security to their system. Moreover, it can be a great way to manage savings and loans online as we follow social distancing guidelines during the pandemic.
As a technology-enabled company, we were challenged to work during the pandemic with movement restrictions. Instead of slowing down, we managed to speed up our operations and work dedicatedly towards launching our system. We collaborated with mobile network operators (MNOs) and successfully launched our system in Tanzania, South Africa, and The Gambia. We also have onboarded Kagera Microfinance and KKKT SACCOs and are currently running pilot projects with them.
Onboarding savings groups is a significant milestone for us and a big step towards our goals. We are working to onboard more savings groups and microfinance institutes in the coming months. It will help us to move ahead with our aim to offer a completely cashless experience in Africa.
Moving forward, we are constantly looking to explore different markets for new business opportunities. We aim to collaborate with MNOs, government organizations, banks, and local savings groups to launch CAMS in more African countries. You can read our blog or subscribe to our newsletter below to stay updated with all the latest happening with Wakandi.
As we continue to move ahead for a wider launch, we need to grow better and stronger as a team. That is why we are planning to hire energetic and enthusiastic people in our team who can use their experience to help us grow and progress.
Getting new people on board will help us become stronger and bring new and fresh ideas to the table. Furthermore, this can also be a chance for them to build a career with us and ensure better growth prospects. Do you have what it takes to be a great employee who can take our operations to the next level? We are hiring for various positions in Tanzania. If you are looking for a job or know someone who can be an excellent fit for us, check out the open positions here. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
