He will take the lead on designing and implementing the business strategies by effectively building and managing multidisciplinary operations teams across all markets. He will oversee the company’s daily operations and drive initiatives to build company culture and an organisation of maximum performance and dedication.

Talking about him joining the team, Terje says, “I am very excited to be joining the team at Wakandi Group. With a strong and unique business proposition, the company is exceptionally well placed to take a leading position in multiple markets, initially in Africa.”

Moving ahead stronger

At Wakandi, we are highly honoured and excited to welcome Terje to our team. We are looking forward to leveraging the vast experience he promises to bring and add value to the organization. Sofie Stuen Bennia, Project Manager at Wakandi, says, “We are so excited to have Terje join our team. His experience will be a valuable contribution to Wakandi’s vision and growth, both now and in the future!”

Wakandi is moving ahead to offer a faster and more transparent way of transferring value through Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT).

Using the DLT-based infrastructure, we have developed a digital system called Credit Association Management System (CAMS). CAMS is a unique system to enable informal financial groups to use digital channels to manage contributions, loans and records. We have already launched the pilot program in Tanzania. We have onboarded the first of our many informal financial groups (popularly called SACCOS in Tanzania). Read more about our launch in Tanzania here.

With Terje onboard, we aim to speed up our efforts to achieve our mission of a cashless society in Africa.
