Ketil Østrem joins Wakandi Group as the Sales Director
Wakandi Group is honored to announce that Ketil Østrem, the former Area Sales Director at Jacobsen Elektro AS, has been appointed as the Sales Director in the Wakandi team. Ketil joins the team to drive better sales, a move that Wakandi’s CEO, Espen Moen Kvelland says will be a welcome addition to the team with all the vast experience he brings after working in Africa.
Ketil has been working with Jacobsen Elektro AS for more than 13 years where he was responsible for managing all operations and strategies to sell all types of power plants, as he says, bringing power for the people in Africa.
Ketil brings his sales expertise to further strengthen the customer base for Wakandi. He believes that his proven track record in the African market can help build the best sales team for Wakandi to drive its mission.
Sharing his insights over joining the Wakandi team, Ketil says, “Wakandi is a company with young entrepreneurs willing to give Africa the latest technology in tomorrow’s digital money through their platform, Wakandi Core. For me, this is an opportunity to bring on board my Africa experience.” He further adds, “After having sold power to Africa I feel a great joy now being able to bank the unbanked through our new great application CAMS.”
Wakandi is growing strong with its mission to provide a faster, cheaper, and more transparent way to transfer value and share data through Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). Wakandi has developed CAMS – a unique financial system built on top of Wakandi to enable formal financial solutions for thousands of informal financial groups. Launching the system in the African market, Wakandi aims to create a positive impact on millions of customers looking for effective and affordable savings and credit solutions.
“I am really looking forward to working with Ketil. He brings a lot of value to Wakandi with his experience in Africa, both in terms of working with sales and his knowledge of the culture, being raised in Kenya. This will be an exciting journey!”
